|Our small farm currently consists of about 1/10 of an acre. We
have totally enclosed it both on the sides and over the top to
keep out the deer, squirrels and other hungry critters. This
season we grew or are currently growing kale, several types of
lettuce, snow peas, turnips, radishes, beets, green onions, both
purple and orange carrots, two types of swiss chard, five
different varieties of tomatoes, purple and green beans, peanut
pumpkins, water melon, three types of peppers, three different
types of egg plant, three different types of cucumbers, zuchinni
and several varieties of squash.
We also have an orchard which contains about
seventeen different types of fruit and almond trees along with a
vineyard which we are currently growing concord, flame, and
thompson, along with strawberries, blue berries and black
berries, so you can see it keeps us fairly busy.
We are also busy building new raised beds to plant in, this
technique seems to give us a much better and healthier crop.
